CALL FOR APPLICATIONS FOR PARTICIPATING IN A NATIONAL ARTS COMPETITION
The art competition of the Foundation for National Arts (2010)
The Foundation for National Arts (FNA) calls for applications in five categories in a project entitled
The competition welcomes all artists, professional or amateur, who experience their patriotic feelings
The aim of the competition is to display a coherent picture of those beliefs of a nation’s artists which reflect their commitment to the Nation’s Body. Moreover, an equally important aim to achieve would be to make national art better-known for a wider public. Therefore, works of art of artists driven by the national ethos will be displayed so that the public would be able to immerse in them and get to know them better.
The competition is eligible for all Hungarian citizens, regardless of their age and gender.
Conditions of participation:
Each applicant should submit one work of any technique (painting, drawing, statue, event, etc.), the maximum size being 1 m³ in the chosen category, in accordance with the principles of the competition.
The applicant should attach a documentation, which will be archived by the foundation after the closing of the competition. Without this documentation the applications will not be accepted.
The content and format required at the documentation:
1×A4 binder folder, plastic or paper, which should contain 3×A4 pages, as follows:
1: Introduction. (A short introductory letter of the applicant).
Application deadline: May 01, 2010.
The exhibition will be displayed in MAGMA Contemporary Exhibition Space in December 2010.
The applicants must choose ONE among the five categories below!
1. RWG (Red White Green)
The professional jury will evaluate the submitted applications in keeping with three criteria:
Acceptable and forgettable works will be displayed, those labeled refutable only together with their documentation.
The FNA will award the five categories with one prize each, taking into consideration the jury’s proposal.
